This is Link. My modem burned out a few days ago, and I can no longer access
the Internet from home. I am accessing Yahoo from the public library now.

Tonight, I go to a meeting with a brother named Aaron and some others who are
interested in starting a new church/outreach in downtown Athens, Georgia. I
met Aaron a few weeks ago. He's got long grey hair, and a bushy mustache. He
got saved in the Jesus' people movement and now ministers at Rainbow
gatherings, goes on missions trips, and does carpentry/living on faith for a
living. We've shared with each other about our beliefs concerning church and
ministry, and it's really been refreshing. We will have to see what develops,
but he is interested in a kind of open church house church situation where
believers can use their gifts, and grow in their gifts and callings.

Aaron has sensed for a long time that the Lord wanted him to start a new church
downtown. Someone has offerred to let the group use office space downtown
across from a nightclub.

Anyway, I'd appreciate prayer about this situation.

God bless you,

Link Hudson Jefferson, Georgia

This morning we had a meeting of a new cooperative of construction, with whom I
hope to carry out the landfill school plan. I had been invited to speak to the
group about how to organize, and about my ideas for the city. I told them that
we need to cooperate so we can help the community, and not think only of
getting jobs for ourselves, since it's not just OUR needs we should think of.
Someone said: 'yes, because when we give to the poor, its a loan made out to
God, and He will pay back.' This person was NOT an evangelical/protestant
Christian, but had been listening to preachers lately. Someone else mentioned
that those who had begun the cooperative are christians. And I told them of how
countries with a strong feeling of christian duty and ethics are today the
'rich' countries. There were 30 men in the group, and about 3 women. The men
all agreed that God would reward us if we work as a group, all for the group,
and if w! e do at least one charity work a month, in the name of God. And I
will be including Bible teachings in the educational plan I am writing for this
group. Also, one of the leaders asked me for Bible studies, and the other men
agreed that we should work for God, and in the name of God. And they are going
to build my community center to help me with my plans.

Love, Vanessa from Venezuela
